Sensor expertise that contributed to the development of Husqvarna Fleet Services

Founded in 1689, Husqvarna has a long history of innovation and offers professional products for forestry, park, and garden care. Husqvarna’s customers needed a platform to streamline the use of machines and enhance worker safety.

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ is a digital platform with services for connected machines and equipment. Customers gain full control over their robotic lawn mowers and other equipment, enabling them to monitor their fleet via smartphone, tablet, or computer around the clock.

Goal – expert resource in the development project

Since its inception in 2007, CombiQ AB has been involved in developing the solution with sensors mounted on Husqvarna’s products, such as ride-on mowers and chainsaws. When the products are used, information such as usage time and RPM is stored in the sensor and then sent to the Husqvarna Fleet Services cloud service.

Objective – optimized fleet management

• Extending machine lifespan through collected information.
• Providing both operators and Husqvarna with actionable insights, such as scheduling maintenance according to the service plan.
• Using statistics to help operators improve operational skills and reduce fuel consumption.
• Monitoring machine performance and receiving service alerts when maintenance is due.
